I’ve had a few conversations with other trauma survivors recently about how we heal. No person’s experience of trauma is alike. What works for one person will not always work for another.
But it has made me think hard about what it is that I find healing. Yoga, Pilates, meditation, running, diarising, time with my son and husband.
Top of the list though is being in the water. It’s the middle of winter here in Australia and I’ve still battling this neck infection, but I made time this morning to go and dip my feet into the water and have a cup of tea.
